    Further to the recent advice from the government about Coronavirus, we have made the decision to cancel the remaining 2019/20 matinee concerts. We are sorry to disappoint our friends and audience, however your health and well-being is more important. We thank you for your continued support and understanding. Last Night of the Proms

11th September saw Glossop Bandroom host it's own version of the Last Night of the Proms which was a fundraiser night for St Mary's Church. Over £400 was raised on the night for this worthy charity.

The featured soloists on the night were (Dame) Janet Lewis (Flugel), Stuart Wilkinson (Horn) and Tim (Benedictus) Dines (Euph). The band also featured music from the 4 British Isles before finishing the concert with Sea Songs, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory. There was much audience participation throughout the evening and the audience managed to match the band in terms of volume and gusto!

A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all
